In 2016, a passionate couple from Maharashtra set out on a heartfelt mission—to bring the rich, soulful flavors of their heritage to their new home city. Starting with a modest food cart in Sector 15, they served a flavorful mix of Maharashtrian and South Indian dishes like dosas, vada pav, and pav bhaji. Though the early days were filled with challenges, their unwavering commitment to quality and authentic taste quickly began to attract attention.

A turning point came when a local food enthusiast praised their food publicly, drawing more customers and spotlight to their tiny operation. By 2021, with a growing team of like-minded partners, Chennai Maratha expanded rapidly, launching over 35 outlets. By the end of 2024, that number grew to more than 40.
